In my opinion I think these colors are a good update to traditional Fall colors. Beautiful yellow-toned colors of Ochre and Saffron become interesting when paired together and instead of a typical bright red, there is a muddled tomato color combined with a the dulled blue. I think it is a lovely twist to Fall! I think these colors are also great because they were created with organic paints. I ran across this project in Central Park last year for Earth Day and there were literally hundreds of kid paintings all lined up - it was very inspiring....

One busy rush hour morning it seemed as if rainbows were streaking by from the hundreds of (typically) yellow cabs flooding the streets. Finally a cab stopped and I noticed bright and bold flowers on the hood and trunk. Later I took a ride in a flowered cab and learned that it was part of a program called "Garden in Transit," one of New York's largest public art projects where children actually painted all of the flowers. I love it when I stumble upon amazing graffiti. The colors and shapes are so modern and would make interesting pattern designs for textiles. I think graffiti is such a beautiful art form that should get more recognition...look at these colors!
